WHEN YOU REGISTER WITH THE CLUB YOU ARE AGREEING THAT YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN & YOU ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING CODES OF CONDUCT. IF THE CODE OF CONDUCT IS NOT ADHERED TO, THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE PLAYERS FROM THE CLUB EITHER BY SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION.
​We the committee of Culmore Youth F.C have put this policy in place to allow players and volunteers to enjoy football in a safe environment. We hope that by our members following this code they will show respect to each other, players from other clubs, referees, their coaches and to the volunteers at the club.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR CHILDREN/YOUNG PLAYERS/PARENTS
Children/Young Players Registered with Culmore Youth FC are expected to:
-
Listen to all instructions from the coach.

Take care of ALL equipment owned by the Club.
-
Refrain from the use of Bad Language or racial/sectarian references.

Behave well, showing respect to ALL players, coaches, volunteers, parents/guardians, referees, players and coaches of other teams.

Keep themselves safe, by not instigating physical or verbal altercations.

Report abuse/inappropriate behaviour.

Respect opponents do not cheat or use unsporting conduct and be gracious in defeat and victory.

Not bring the club into disrepute when using social media, online or by any other means. .

Not engage in online bullying of players from Culmore Youth F.C or any other club
Children/Young Players Registered with Culmore Youth FC can expect to:

Enjoy football in a protected environment.

Be respected, be safe, be listened to and guaranteed privacy.

Be referred to professional help if needed.
-
Be protected from abuse/inappropriate behaviour by other club members or outside sources.
-
Participate on an equal basis as appropriate to their ability.
-
Experience competition and the desire to win, appropriate to their age and ability.
· Be believed when asking for help.
General misbehaviour and misdemeanours will be addressed by the immediate coaching staff and reported verbally and/or in writing to the Club’s Child Safeguarding Officer/s/Chairman/committee. Persistent misbehaviour will result in dismissalfrom the club. Parent/Guardians will be informed at all times. Dismissals can be appealed by the young person/parent/guardian. However final decisions will be made by the Club Committee.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Parents/Guardians of children/young people registered with Culmore Youth FC are expected to:

Inform coaches detailing health concerns/medications/procedures.

Report changes in a child’s health before coaching sessions/matches particularly head/chest/respiratory issues.

Deliver and collect punctually to and from coaching sessions/matches, informing a coach if a child is to be collected early.

Ensure the use of proper clothing, footwear and protective equipment including appropriate eye wear if required,taking into account weather conditions and playing surfaces.

Behave in a manner that reflects the good name of the club and encourages their child to show respect and play to the rules.

Be realistic and teach their child that they can only do their best.

Show appreciation and support for the coach – who is a volunteer with the club.

“LET THEM PLAY” Behave responsibly on the side-lines, not try to coach their child with shouting instructions from the sidelines (Let the coaches coach!) – Encouragement ONLY and accept the referee’s judgement.

Remain outside the field of play and behind the designated spectator area (where provided, if not provided at an appropriate area), not behind the goals.
ANY ABUSE OF COACHING STAFF OR VOLUNTEERS AT CULMORE YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB BY PLAYERS OR PARENTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. THIS INCLUDES EXCESSIVE DEMANDS FACE TO FACE, BY PHONE, TEXT, WHATSAPP, EMAIL OR ON SOCIAL MEDIA. COACHES & VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO PUT UP WITH ABUSE OF ANY KIND AND THE CLUB MAINTAINS THE RIGHT TO REMOVE PLAYERS FROM THE CLUB ON ACCOUNT OF ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR FROM PLAYERS/PARENTS/GUARDIANS.

PARENTS/ GUARDIANS have a right to:

Know their child is safe, be informed if child is hurt or advised of concerns relating to their children.

Contribute to decisions within the club via the Club committee.

Receive communication as & when the coaching staff see appropriate regarding coaching sessions, matches, social events etc..

Any misdemeanours and breach of the code of conduct will be dealt with immediately by the coach. More serious or persistent concerns or breaches will result in the individual being asked not to attend the club if their attendance is detrimental to the welfare of the young person. Should a parent/guardian continue to breach the code despite being asked not to attend, then regrettably theClub Committee may ask the young person to leave the club. NOTE: The list above is not exhaustive and the club reserves the right to dismiss any member for unsporting behaviour either on or off the field.
